Here be Dragons! Here be Gargoyles!
I love myth, legend and the origins of things, and that theme shows itself in much of my work. Please take a look at my work and let me know what you think. I follow my muse, no matter where it leads and that means many themes and many mediums. If the idea sparks in my mind, I will follow it with any medium and subject matter. Traditionally, I work with Clay, stone, assemblage & re-purposing in sculpture. Pencil, Colored Pencil, Charcoal, Acrylic & Oil are all comfortable mediums for my 2D work.
The digital world has expanded my mediums and outlets and I frequently sculpt in 3D modeling, work with animation and do many digital paintings and illustrations as well.
For me, being an Artist means using anything that inspires me to create. I refuse to be defined by a medium or technique and this creates a wide range of subject matter and style in my body of work.
Art to me is really a collaboration of inspiration, artist, medium and moment. In short, I believe the Art is bigger than the Artist or the medium. As an Artist I am simply one piece of the process in the creation of the Art.
